Rounding edges

Whether punched or cut - deburring, edge rounding and surface finish have a significant impact on the functionality and safety of sheet metal components. The requirements to be met in these production steps depend on the use of the sheet metal component and the subsequent process. When rounding, a so-called "safe edge" is sufficient in many cases, i.e. an edge without the risk of injury

Edge rounding is part of the deburring process and removes sharp edges. This is necessary to ensure safety during handling. Edge Bevel will result in slightly rounded edges, while Metal Edge Rounding can create an edge radius on parts made of metals such as stainless steel. The cut edges end with an even rounding of the edge.
